I have little to no memory of 2018. I suffered extremely severe brain injury. I was in the hospital for 6 and a half months from May 22, 2018 through December 7, 2018. I had about 3 percent chance of living and was expected to never come out of a vegetative state. But, now, I'm back. My story has been used as an inspiration for many. My story has become the survivor guide for others. Now, I have a new hero. Courtney, watching this video is my biggest inspiration ever. I am so happy to be alive now. Almost everyone gave up on me. I lost most of my family, marriage, house, friends, and most of my possessions. I had a partial lobectomy of my temporal lobe, and suffered extensive nerve injury (Grade 2 to 3 Diffuse Axonal Injury). I could not speak for almost 2 years and suffered complete amnesia. Courtney, you will never know how inspiring you are. I cried so hard watching this. Tears of joy are the best tears that I have. Thank you so much!!! God bless you!

For some reason, when she mentioned that others had made fun of her dancing, I thought of Elvis and Michael Jackson. They both had such a unique way of moving and I feel that she is the same. Way to go on staying true to herself and bringing herself to where she is today.

holy. mfing. cow! What a brilliant singer!! I am at loss for words to describe the awe in listening to her sing... this girl is beyond anything I have heard in the last 20 years

She's a born performer, just raw talent and energy. You can tell the instant she start's singing she loses all sense of herself and just let's the song live through her, that's the difference between just singing a song and bringing a song to life. I hope she never loses that talent because that's a rare skill and is what makes her so memorable. Bravo young Lady.

@@----K---- I have to disagree with you. This young 14 year old (when last aired) just wrote and performed her own original song. Btw, she earned over a quarter of a million dollars a year, and her net worth is $2.5 million. I think she's surpassed the Karaoke singer status.

Talking about a girl and fire, …. She is really on fire, and that song applies to her in so many ways, you are all heart babygirl, and you still keep your humbleness, which also adds to how special you are. The sky is the limit with you. You roam like an eagle, sometimes gliding peacefully and others diving down for the kill like a bad out of heaven. Some people have a voice you have never heard before, some people have a voice, a vibe, charisma, stage presence, a whole buss load of everything, i don't even know what i'm saying anymore. This is one of those few people that can do every damn thing.

Seeing someone with such a natural "stage presence" is actually quite rare. Lots of people are good "front men", but have to work at it. She's some wild cross between Janis Joplin and Freddie Mercury. It's insane that such a sweet, shy little girl transforms into a rock n roll maniac as soon as the music starts

May 24,2024 and I still find myself searching for Courtney to watch all her performances for hundreds of times now ❤

I'm 38 and I would go to every concert that this girl does. It's a shame that today is the first time I've ever heard of her, and I'm glad I found out about her. Amazing!!!! I immediately thought of Janis Joplin when she started rocking out!

It was all fake. She was on the Uk talent show The Voice before this and Simon Cowell was one of the judges on that show too. Plus she previously performed music numbers at school and in front of crowds for years. Theres loads of videos on KZread of her before she went on AGT

She’s obviously a very confident and talented girl. But that whole nervous, vulnerable, thing, and the tears etc...all a good act. Notice the sweet little girl dress disappeared once she’d got the whole “I didn’t expect that!” moment? It’s also pretty hard to tell if she’s imitating Joplin or Jagger with her movements, but it is certainly not her own original style or idea. She’s talented enough that the whole manufactured imitation thing feels wrong, I’d have loved to see her own style.

@@llddau You know, even Joplin which i'm a big fan of, didn't patent those forms of expression or invented them. Sure there is a certain TV-made facade about her act, especially with her experience in front of whole crowds before the show. But her raw talent and how close it is to some former legends can't be denied. It's also natural she imitates some old starts since since she's been small her father showed her those musicians. That being said, i'm curious to see, and also hope that as she grows older, she doesn't get swallowed by success and vanity, but reflects and finds her own voice. Amidst the factory that is Hollywood and US Entertainment.

Totally agree with the ending of your comment. Did she win? Those shows get total control of how the winners’ careers will begin and based on that how they will likely progress, and how they will be presented to the world. The stories are pretty often quite sad, then again people sign up to the show knowing what they are in for, or at least their parents do so hopefully she isn’t exploited, (but any parent who would put their kid up for this seems suspicious to me) or become part of the famous 27 club for example.

I noticed on the first audition she took a break before giving the yes to start the song and that break her persona changed completely it’s like she has reincarnated and was a rockstar before. Just incredible and you get hyped and also kind of hipnotized when she performs

I'm now getting old at 67, I've been a musician all my life, seen it all, you know the routine....and this young lady blew me out of my bathchair. As mentioned here many times, the talent is natural, big, and supreme. My only hope now is that she writes something that will get her noticed in the eyes of the world, where she belongs. But, she's bloody brilliant.

she seems to me that she is (like Janis) pouring her entire heart and soul in her singing. I can only hope she can gather people around her that can really look after her. To make sure that she will not end up like Janis... having given all her heart and soul and even more

Wow...that final song....when she has just rocked an arena with an epic performance and Howie asks her who the song is, and she modestly and almost apologetically says "its an original"...incredible talent at 14

Watching Courtney perform makes me feel like I am at a major concert with a massive crowd. I’ve been to a few in my day: Boston, Heart, Van Halen, Pat Benatar, Mellencamp, Springsteen…. Courtney is of legend caliber. She does her thing. Needs nothing else.

EVEN AFTER THE LOST, SHE IS STILL AND WILL EVER BE HUMBLE; I LOVE HER SO MUCH❤❤❤❤; She is a super star, all she needs is a good management 💯💯💯💯

What I love about CH is that she is totally original. She is like a genie. Someone rubs the lamp, and she comes onto the stage and performs her magic!

Years later I'm still amazed she didn't win The Voice or AGT and to my knowledge still isn't signed anywhere. At least she's been releasing some of her own original songs on her own KZread channel. Still come back here to listen to her powerhouse voice jamming out those 60's - 70's tunes.

@@richardhendrickson she was, but it was a 2 year contract that ended up being pretty much pointless due to covid shutdowns, after that she chose not to continue and simon's label closed it's doors. Now she's signed with someone, she's just not announcing who yet until her album gets released.
