I see his dad kicking him out as a way of showing him that there is no money in that and that he will not be able to provide for himself or his future family with a dream of dancing. I do think the dad could’ve kept in touch and at least support him and tell him he could come back if his main goal was towards a career guaranteed to bring in income and dancing could be his back up. I remember when my husband told his dad he wanted to be a musician and well I’m a singer so I couldn’t imagine trying to raise my family on that kind of unpredictable income.

After nursing school, supporting my husband through med school and residency and getting the hang of raising two kids we are getting back to our love of music. It’s what made us cross paths 15 years ago in high school. So never let go of your passion!

@@kidwave1 You can literally provide money for yourself doing almost everything you want, of course you are hardly going to get rich with it but that's not the point here, most people had this wrong thinking that just certain ways of work can provide money but 21 century made a lot of things possible, as of myself i get my pay day, around 3k dollars/month doing services at a popular MMORPG game, so of course you can make a living by dancing aswell. Now if your point is status quo you're right, only a handful of jobs gets other people attetions, when i say to my aunts, uncles, cousins that i make a living out of a game, they only don't facepalm out of respect hahah.

This guy has a gift from god , it would be a huge stroke of luck if children would have a talent , and every parent should support their child emotionally and financially .

Arguably one of the most lovely things that Simon did in AGT.

From his mom's reaction, it sounds like she is the more supportive parent. Hopefully, she is willing to be supportive by showing up to Frenchie's competitions even if the dad won't.

I think his parents were just scared, Parents sometimes have a weird way of showing they love and care for us. Making a living off dancing can be really hard. I think they just want the best for there son. I don't think now they'll accept him cause of fame but because they can now see and understand that he can do what he loves and make a good living

I’m glad his mom gave him a yes. He said he just wanted to make his parents proud. I understand why the dad threw him out. But he could’ve at least stayed in touch and told him if he wanted to come back home to come home. Maybe tell him if he’s going to live under his roof then he needs to pursue something more realistic while also still trying to make the dancing thing work. Anyways, I’m happy he had his moment! I’m sure he will never forget it.

You understand why he kicked his son out, like literally locked the door on him and took his home and family from him? Just because he wanted to be a dancer. Because I don't understand and would love to know how you feel it can possibly be justified. I mean there's disapproving, discussing practicality, and then there's kicking your own child out, and the latter isn't something I think can be justified in a million years.

Have another career that he’s working towards other than JUST dancing while living under his parents roof. I don’t think I’d be so abrupt in throwing my kids out as you made it seem in your comment. I can’t justify “throwing your kid out” to you because we probably have different views and values. I’m not okay having my grown child living under my roof pursuing just dancing. They’d have to have something else to fall back on. Or if they were serious about dancing and really needed me to support them financially then I would agree to for an agreed period of time…….

Its like the guy on American Idol whos family wanted nothing to do with jim because he was gay, then he was killing on the show then all of a sudden his family accepted him. Yeah they knew that money was gone start coming in...like why does it take the world to accept me for my own parents to accept me.
