It makes no difference if he wins because he simply does need to do that (win) to have doors open when he calls. And the top two winners have some singing obligations to fulfill so he might be better off not 'winning'. Whether he wins or not will make no difference to where he is 5 years from now.

there’s so much honesty in his voice!! The emotion is overflowing! HE IS AMERICAN IDOL

Jeremiah is the only contestant that consistently performs well. Said this before but he's the best singer

prodigy? I don't think you know what that word means, cause what I just saw was a karaoke version. Couldn't even hold the whole notes at the end of the measures. Which is what helps tell the story of this song. Freddie was great at doing this.. This guy seemed like he kept running out of air. Not that great with control

I found that answer to hit me the wrong way...His parents come in to the picture all of a sudden and now they are his biggest fan when Jeremiah had previously said he didn't know where he would end up after idol. It's heart breaking to me.

@@johnnyec19 I think American Idol exaggerated his story a little bit or even he played it up somewhat. That being said, we don't know the whole picture only what the camera and he wanted us to see.

@@MsBhappy I don't believe he exaggerated his story at all. His story is all too common among the LGBT community. He only came out to them a few years prior so it takes time, his parents are struggling with their faith and supporting their son but they love him. Parents have to have undying unconditional love for their children without religious influence.

So true. He has the ability to draw ppl in, and even took the band to the next level.

How can he made that high pitch note so effortlessly...sound so gorgeous up to the heaven..

Every week I say that was my favorite performance of his, then he takes it to the next level. He is my absolute favorite.

Amazing performance as always by Jeremiah. I hope he takes home the gold medal. Lots of very talented artists competing but I think he’s a step ahead of the pack.

I’m convinced that this year is the best to date! By far! They’re all unique and have a special quality that’s distinct and beautiful! He’s just so humble and we’re all glued to the tv because of him and this years finalist

Just because he is the best does not mean he will win. There are a lot of haters out there. Look at Adam, and Joshua Ledett. just to name two. They were the show stoppers of their seasons, but still lost to homophobs and bigots.

What an amazing gift! There should be no doubt he has the best voice of all the finalists.

He’s such a stunning and beautiful singer... such a gorgeous soul... as much as everyone celebrates his parents being there it really makes me sad that it took a national audience to finally come around and show their support for their child. I hope for all involved that it’s legitimate. It just hurts my soul knowing that they rejected, and expected him to reject, his identity for years and it wasn’t until this show that they saw the light...

Jeremiah doesn't know me, but I have to be one of his biggest fans. Everyday I go back and listen to one or two of his performances. His story and his voice always bring tears to my eyes. His story is the story of so many of us. His performance was no less tonight as he always sings from his heart. He gives us the best he has, and I often feel it's more than we deserve as I feel he he is opening the eyes and hearts of many with in families. As a grown man I confess..sobbing my eyes out when I saw his parents there so see him. It is the power of unconditional love God gave to all of us, and the unspeakable joy it brings when applied to the least of us. So many have lost years of love and joy simply because they do not understand there is some things we cannot change any more than we can change the color of our eyes. No one should be forced to live alone and not be able to give their love to another, and receive love from from someone who has so much to give them. What a horrible waste of a life that would be. I don't know you Mr and Mrs Harmon. but I thank you so much for being there for your wonderful son.....and I know I speak for many thousands of others. God Bless You.

The producers are trying to make some kind of statement about Christian homophobic parents...it's a distraction now.
