She DID sound a bit nervous at one or two points in her audition, but I think she pulled through okay. And y'know what? The judges are giving her another shot at this, so let's see if she improves in Hollywood Week.

Katy Perry is on American Idol to JUDGE. To also critique, give advice, inspire and to be honest. She is also there to give an opinion. I don’t think she done anything wrong. She was nice and honest with both auditions.

I'm not surprised to see a couple competing in the same singing competition. I've seen it once before on a Tamil singing competition called Super Singer about 2 years ago when a married couple joined the competition to promote Tamil folk music. Although the wife got eliminated and the husband won the competition (though I hated their voices), there was no mention of hard feelings since they succeeded in their mission to spread Tamil folk music to the urbanites and won the hearts of people who were hooked by their village sob story.

It seems like he's nervous because he know it might ruin his relationship

I think Katy was right on the wrong song choice. I mean, what a strange song. IF she keeps singing such content in live shows, she ain't gonna get voted through. And her more muted and controlled self doesn't fit into her image, it was just uncomfortable. Margie needs to find a way to be herself that works. Also, Katy being so negative about 2 of them competing together. Is kinda just, it happens, if Jonny went further than Margie. I am sure no Margie will feel hurt as it's her second try. I don't know if she got it in her to get beyond it, it will be hard. Jonny was a so-so for me too, but he has artistry, so I am looking forward to see how he will sing a cover.

He is though and he needs to own it. He is super talented way past anything his girlfriend has. She wishes she had what he's got. Besides the talent he also is humble! We don't really know if he wanted to audition or if she encouraged him to audition too. Let's wait and see how it goes! You may be right, but they could also be there for each other. He was there for her last year. They could be there for each other!
