That's Leona for you, for sure. I remember her winning Britain's Got Talent long time ago. One of the most humble person you could ever meet and she hasn't changed ... at all. If you have ear/headphones, put them on and listen to this performance. It's what you call "perfect pitch" from Kodi. This year, if ANYONE deserved to win, it was this guy. He was number one to a lot of people from the beginning. And he is definitely a hoot, isn't he? Love his personality AND his mother.

@@FortexVize lol, you don't truly know these type of duets until you realize that the featured person is made sure that s/he is never outperformed by the other singer. Leona just decided not to sing at her full potential but complemented his singing. In fact I'd have to guess she was very careful about that because women vocalists naturally sing at higher tones and usually overshadow the male singers. To add to that, she definitely can't singer over him because the judges are listening to Kodi, not Leona and she would have to keep it low so that the judges can hear him well.

When I was in middle school in California, there was this incredible young man in my choir class. He was blind, and he had the most amazing voice, personality, and could play the piano amazingly well to boot. He had perfect pitch. I remember the choir teacher would ask him for a note, and he would give it. Perfect every single time. Kodi, I am so so so proud of you. Your talent amazed me then. Finding out what you have accomplished, that you are still being so authentically you, and that you are sharing your incredible talent with the world, it makes my heart absolutely sing. I am so proud of you, Kodi. You are touching the stars dude! You are incredible, and you've made it. I am so honored to have crossed paths with you.

Omg this gives me HOPE for my son! My sons 4 & he’s legally blind with autism too!! It made me cry cuz I cant help but think of my son as I’m watching Kodi! You are such an inspiration Kodi!! Leona is clearly giving Kodi the stage. It’s beautiful thing she did.

This duet really showcase his talent. An amazing song choice. People without a disability barely have half his talent. Somehow, god always find a way to touch us when we least expects it.

For those who don't know, Kodi performed "You Are the Reason" on semifinals AND finals. That song is written and sung by Calum Scott - a competitor on BGT that Simon used his Gold Buzzer on. Simon's impeccable ability to spot future stars and elevate them is what made this song possible for Kodi to choose and dazzle everyone. Talk about good begets good.

The privilege that Leona Lewis got is incredible for her to be at Kodi Lee's concert and to sing with him.

Jesus, the son of God, showed us how to do it. God is so good, He invests so much for people, best example is sacrifice of Jesus for our bad deeds (and I expierienced His ressurection with my own life btw). I’m so impressed with his ability to learn a new song and arrangement and in a duet… autistic doesn’t mean dumb. I’m just floored cause I imagine it’s not easy to direct someone like him. Seriously I don’t mean it as an insult. I’m just curious as to the process. I find it fascinating how he can be so present when it comes to music. He’s got an amazing family that’s for sure.

He is 1 of 25 music savants in the world he has perfect pitch and can replay any song after hearing it, most people with autism wouldn’t have anywhere near his ability it’s around 1 in a million

@daaa bears As you or me are not anywhere near John Lennon or Whitney or else. Not every autistic has to be as good as him in singing but they excel in different fields. His point that i share is how they communicate with other musicians, like in this case to form a perfect duel!

Ok hear me out. I have an autistic brother, and it is said (in my aboriginal canadian culture) that special needs people have a talent and are highly respected because they have gifts. My brother is a tremendous carpenter and extremely creative. People are shocked how talented he is. Kodi has that talent. I know this may sound like a stretch and kind of crazy to grasp especially as an outsider, but until you’ve been around these special people you would know. Have a good day people!

His voice is seriously so powerful. No matter what he sings it brings me to tears. Insane

I just have to watch and listen to Kodi Lee,as often as possible. He is amazing singer,musician! Bless you Kodi ! You are loved !

Leona could of showed what great talent she had...but she held back,for the winner!!! probably as instructed...which was really unselfish of her. But she held back too much.Because she's GREAT!!! He was good, but not deserving of a winner. Did he win due his disability with talent, or just talent? Not to be rude and he was good, but that is a legit question. The people felt sorry for him and amazed that he could sing being autistic and blind. Incredible but not the best talent in the show!

i love that kodi won. we need people like him to be stars, to show others with disabilities that it IS possible to do something like this.

Leona Lewis was amazing and such a humble performer. You can tell she didn't want to take over the spotlight. She held back! Kodi Lee is amazing and Leona Lewis is a class act for sure!

i felt the chemistry of them singin in the right notes

My brother has severe aspurgers, but when he draws or paints I am absolutely blown away by his talent and creativity. He is very capable and astonishing when he does something that he finds interesting.

LOL! What a justification. Dude her voice was shaky, her vocal control was practically non-existent, she was off pitch at times and her harmonization wasn't on point. This had nothing to do with letting him shine...she wasn't very good on this night. Sorry...

Probably the two greatest voices to ever come out of these talent shows. Leona was one of kind and Kodi is too.

Standing ovation to the work, dedication, patience involved by Kodi and all family members. They all deserve this win.

Guys Kodi said in iterview with Terry that his wish is to have lots of colorful Pianos in the house and it's really heartbreaking cuz you are reminded by the fact that he can't see the colors. i hope if God exists at least give him a touch or sense of colors. man i love this boy so much i wish i could do whatever i can for him.

It's quite possible he does see colors in his mind, whatever definition he has of them, though we'll never know. There are seeing people who claim to hear colors. The brain is a strange and amazing thing.

He can see out of his right eye, but it is like swiss cheese. He has to find a hole to look thru. He reads, it is difficult, but he does.

Strange how many comments talk about Leona not stealing the show or toning it down. If you watch this video and compare it to all her other videos on KZread, this is by FAR the best she's ever sung. So "Yes" she did her best to keep up her end and fortunately she did, because Kodi was indeed that impressive.

Wow - to duet with someone is challenging enough but to do so with no visual cues from your singing partner is pretty amazing. Kudos, Kodi.

Kodi Lee is a very great pianist. He plays it well and he's also a good singer. Respect and love to Leona Lewis and Kodi.

Although Kodi story is sad and some may say tragic, it's also his ability to overcome that disability that we all take for granted. The ability to see the world has lead us to see all that is evil and corrupt, hence maybe that's why we are so judgemental to others and ourselves. Our imagination and creativity becomes tainted and limited by what we have seen. We become harder and colder. In kodi's situation, he does not know or comprehend what evil is thus has not been tainted. His perception of the world is different from ours. His mind will forever be that of a child. He is talented in the aspect that when he sings to you, it's from a place of pureness, untouched and untainted by evil. Maybe that is why we cry hearing him because he reminds us of the goodness in this world and in ourselves that we set aside. Now anyone can say a word or complete sentences or sing but can they sing into the existence of a word? Can you feel each word that he sings? Remember that as the world gets colder and harsher, and we dont recognize ourselves anymore, we will yearn for this. Let's be more compassionate towards eachother and treat eachother how we want to be treated. I did not vote base on views, likes, tweets or trending. I voted for someone who will change the world and I believed kodi is that person.

I wasn't logged in to the You Tube , so I literally fetched my Own phone so I could come back and comment for this video. Kodi Lee, made me search for more of Leona Lewis and I realized she is far too good a singer for the present times. Some of her solo live and other performances are simply mesmerizing. BUT.... The way she kept a low profile during this duet with Kodi, speaks a ton about her real character. Hats off to the lady.... Totally Divine Humbleness Personified. Leona Lewis......

It's not a question as to whether she tried hard enough she was all over the place pitch wise. And it's a duet so the song is made so the artists don't sing over each other. Leona was just poor.

I agree that she was holding back. Leona Lewis can clearly sing, but she didn't want to overpower Kodi's performance. Not letting everything out can make you sound different. It's not unlike stifling your speaking voice.

@Mo Walz when she is on Leona is one of the most beautiful singers in the world. But sorry mo she was more then a little shaky 80% of that song she was flat. As a singing teacher and an accomplished singer myself I can hear every little note, I'm not saying she's the worst singer in the world by any stretch she is usually better than most im just simply saying that in this performance she was bad.

Kodi he's handsome ,he has amazing voice and he is really talented guy....I actually forget he's disability but has ability to blow our mind with his music.

I cry everytime I hear this because it makes me think of my mother who passed away a few years ago,, and Kodi really did a beautiful job singing this.
