Am I the only one who likes myra? She gives me this christina aguilera vibe and ill admit shes a louder singer. But in this video she was on key and showed off her range. Not so much just screaming. And that first note with a growl was actually done pretty well. Persoanlly I really enjoyed it

I agree with you with at least one being eliminated and it is usually the most viewed. What is sad is that they choose the one who can't really perform over either of these two. It's all a set up.

I prefer Myra, I love how powerful and soulful her voice sounds at the same time. As a non English speaker, you have to give her a thumb up for that 👍❤️

Myra had many interviews in Vietnamese which her answers are amazing. Someone needs to “ subtitle “ her interviews in English. That way Americans have opportunities to understand and feel her more. A little girl from small town , in Vietnam, is standing in front of American Idol is not easy. She has to bypass so many obstacles and learn English for only short period of times. Not many people can do that !!!!!! Amazing......

You can't even step out of your room and use English to talk to a strange native English speaker, let alone standing on the stage in front of billion people throughout the whole world. I agree 100% she has a great voice but it's just flying out of her mouth with no intent or direction. It's all growl, unclean melismas, and always at one dynamic. Hitting a song with power in the beginning leaves you no where to go when the song actually calls for it.

It's better to have those acrobats than nothing at all. I'd rather see her as a winner with great vocal techniques than someone like Maddie Poppe or whoever has that wannabe aesthetic voice.

@@viochampagne816 not really a vocal technique though when she seems to do it in every song she performs. I think she over-uses it because she thinks it impresses people and yes it does but when your constantly doing it, it gets repetitive and people will bore of it.

@@Paakid I'll never get bored of it. It adds the performance some flavor. I'd be bored if someone just sings so basic (without runs, riffs, or even vibrato) the entire season and wins. Besides, we cannot blame her. She has the pipes so why not use it and take risks every week? It's better than whispering on a microphone to play safe. This is a competition after all. PS it's still a technique even if it's done constantly. That's why it's called that way since one can apply it anytime at his/her own comfort.

Screaming? She was hitting high notes. That's always your excuse when someone has high range. And please, Shayy is far from a stellar singer imo. She's basic and boring as far as voices go.
