One thing Sal has that Frank Sinatra had too is CLASS. He's class all the way. He'll be a huge star for the rest of his life. So much talent all wrapped in one special guy! Good luck for the rest of your life, Sal!

Love Sal he is amazing he can sing music from a different era and sings the heck out of it. Love him.

Sal definitely has stage presence. Heidi said it, "Sal has it all !!" He's so solid to have said "win, lose or draw!"

My father played trumpet in big bands during the thirties and forties. This song was one of his favorites. Here’s to you dad

I know we all say it's always the singers who win AGT, but if there was a singer who actually deserved the win, it was Sal

He is a loving grandson and son I admire you. You showed a good example to other young kids. Good luck

Years later I still think about this young man. He did such an amazing job; he was born to do this. He really does have it all: the voice, the looks, the stage presence and charisma and the support of his family, friends and fans. I hope we see him again some day 💕

Well I watched the audition again after 5 years ago (I spend much of my life watching these) & I watched it again & My Way & this one twice tonight. I never realised Sal got so far. Absolutely love this kid. I wasn't necessarily a Sinatra fan but you can't knock his singing. I loved Deano & wanted to be Deano's next generation. He could act, sing, joke, dance & I loved the DM Show. Well done Sal, you are a star.

"I did" that excitement just made my night. He's hound and humble and he has talent! He's is one beautiful person.

Just fantastic.... regardless of the result of the contest this guy is an entertainer at heart and hope he makes it in singing where he belongs.....

Holy Wow! I just discovered this guy today in 2022. Can't get enough! I am 58 years old and have never been a fan of the crooner style, until Sal. I love all the singing shows and there has been non better that this kid Sal. Talent is talent and his voice is butter. That is what it takes to unite generations of music fans. He has done it and I am a huge fan of Sal and his amazing family. The boy was raised right. Congrats on all his success. I can't believe I missed this in 2016.

I grew up on this music. This kid is excellent.

He was very popular during most of his career. Many of his most famous songs were recorded in the 50s and 60s. For example, "my way" was recorded in 1969. That's not very far from 40 years ago.

The only reason why music back then was not more explicit, the way that it is now, is because of the societal mentality that people had. You could even show a married couple sleeping in the same fucking bed in media for God's sake.

I think we can attribute the choice of winner to a whole lot of media-savvy 'tweens who had bloody thumbs after the finals; but who knows? I agree that Sal is quintessential Vegas, and, whether he was seeking it or not - referencing one of Simon's comments - he did get a LOT of television exposure, and I hope his dreams come true!

jason turgeon you’re an idiot. All she did was make a comment about the values of Italian families which is a very true statement. I’m Italian and family is everything and I haven’t met an Italian family that didn’t believe the same. The grandmother is always the matriarch and the staple of the family. My grandma is my favorite person in the world. Doesn’t mean that no other families other than Italians don’t put family first but it doesn’t matter where you are from or how you were raised, all Italians share that same value.

Gotta love Italians. Growing up in providence I met plenty. Some of the most proud and uplifting people you can meet. Big ups sal.
