I'm 68 years, and I have the Radiohead CD with this song. "...I want to have control...I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul. I want you to notice when I'm not around..." my favorite lyrics as boy, aargh, that's me. After a brutal marriage (of 10yrs), I was able to ground myself, and I was fine. My heart was in love with a man 8yrs younger than myself. My head said "No! No!!". My heart won, and we've been together for over 30yrs. This song came out just about the time we finally got together, and I love the place it takes me to when I hear it 🙃

One of the most perfect vocal performances I’ve ever heard. I felt that in my bones. Hauntingly beautiful, melancholy, gut wrenching, and glorious all at once.

God-given talent; may the Holy Father’s blessings continue to rain down on him. If he and/ or his mother are/is unsaved, I pray that they are introduced to and accept Jesus as their Savior. Bless his mom for her strength and patience to encourage and support her son especially during the tough times of his life!

No one will ever top Brian's performance. He starts it off so vulnerable. So tender and longing and then when he takes off he shows you exactly how deep that wound is in his soul. Nobody. I mean nobody will ever do this song better. Ever. It's too bad he doesn't get more recognition and popularity from it. I have always been a big fan.

I loved that the audience was silent throughout just rapt with his performance.

He didn’t make this version only copied it. The actual version like this has been out over a decade and done better overall by Daniela Andrade. Though in this one his high notes are beautiful he just needs work on the soft notes. Soft notes take a lot more talent to hold while sounding good.

My favourite version of all. Such a talented guy - goosebumps all the way through

That is how every performance on these shows should be. Crowd allowing the voice to be heard without constant screaming, cheering and whistling. Often, too many times you don't hear enough of an actual voice, so this actually makes me appreciate the song and performance more.

This young man gave me chills. He’s got such an amazing voice and some good set of lungs.

Im a huge fan of Radiohead and this song and its like the 25th time i have seen this and everytime Brian gets me...I sit there, not moving, jaw dropped, cigarette burning out in my hand, just mesmerized by it... every second of it. Just beautiful, wonderful, awesome...I just love it...Special, special performance ...

Howie's face and the shocked silence at the end is far better than the clapping lol that was so amazing and I'm glad everyone else clearly felt the same way

He felt the song in the deeper part of his soul. That is why everyone was mesmerized. Witnessing Genuine emotion will do that to you.

That was his night ! He as a control over his voice and the air ...he blew that place up , and he blew me away the first time i herd him . He's actually the Only singer that i come back to listen each years , its something about that interpretation that helps me exult my anger and sadness with the high part , its just incredible !

Searching this up in September 2023, because it touched me and still need to Listen to this beautiful version. Still gives me tears, just beautiful. You reached your goal of making people feel something, even if you were on a show like this where it's premeditated and they lock you into a crappy contract.

Its edited. Its a very obvious cut in the audio than anyone could hear. This isnt even actually live its pre recorded and released when they decide to. It could be lip syncing for all we know

Ooh this is a great video I still watch this audition from time to time to remind myself of what vulnerable strength feels like.

He definitely knew his specialty when he said he wants people to feel things when he sings because he did exactly just that. Also this reminded me of Calum Scott's first audition on Britain's Got Talent in 2015 when he performed Robyn's 'Dancing on My Own' and made it his own. I love it when singers do that and nail it😍❤🔥

And lastly Calum's version is way more intimate, slower and it's just unique for me. He definitely owned that song. He sang it his own way and definitely not like the Kings of Leon. But this is my opinion and that's your opinion, so let's just respect each other's opinions.

There are a couple people I always search out to hear them again and again , Keith Kettterer , Callum Scott, & Josh Davis (I believe) Labyrinth's song. Of the men. is one.
