This kid knows himself. Totally unconcerned with praise, probably equally unconcerned with insults. He turned red at not knowing James Taylor. The color in his face was the only tell at emotion or reaction. Kid is the definition of STOIC. I love to see it cause we need more of it.

He is far from shy, it's the persona he chose to charm others. Mischievous is more like it. I feel he is the lazy type, he won't put on the efforts and forget the words during Hollywood week, and the judges will be mad at him.

@@pureffm Yeah, the problem with that is in the music business you need to tour and be outgoing. I remember a contestant a few years ago named Sam Woolf, not sure if spelled right. They kept telling him, more passion, more energy etc. Jennifer Lopez told him you need to go from small star to big star. His charm will help him though.

He didnt have the confidence, that he needed, but he wanted it, look at his sudden facial expression changes when he gets complimented. He definitely a heartbreak tone and story telling voice. I hope he is still singing today and has gotten the confidence he needed. ❤ He is really good.

He demonstrates the difference between focus and emotivism. The judges drip with emotivism which gets old with it's superlatives. The young man is focussed on the song and the message of the lyrics. He lets the essence of the message generate response rather than his showmanship. Go kid go.

I don’t think it’s shyness, I feel that he’s been through something recently maybe a heartbreak. I can just feel it just by his eye contact towards the judges, he’s fidgeting a bit, can’t really stand still, his hands in his pockets, his tone when he talks, the way he sang that song and his reaction at the end when they told him he’s going to Hollywood. He’s not afraid whether he makes it or not. He really needs a hug. My boy been through something painful because that’s the way I and most men behave when battling something. We just don’t say anything and keep quiet. Keep your head up King! Im rooting for you!
