with so much talents how can he didnt win the competition - i think we should stop asking for public vote - instead we should call an additional 8 professional and reputable together jury with the 3 judges to decide the winner.

this dude is hands DOWN one of THE most talented ppl in ALL of these competitions ive ever seen. he was literally born to do this, anyone that can play the piano, guitar, keyboards, DJ, and write ur own kick ass songs without really even tryin to is next level shit to me. hes like prince, one of those ppl born of music, their whole soul and being is made of music.

His eyes and smile so amazing and captivating.....go alejandro captivate everyone

I knew people would not get this. This dude just gave us a song that after you hear it on the drive home after bout 5 or 6 times it becomes your favorite. When he hits that high note verse I can see me, my girl, my kids all of us jamming to it in the car. He dropped a smash summer hit that he wrote without any music industry help on Idol where people only do covers. Best thing I've seen on here.

He had to do something different or else he would have been labeled the same performer!! He is simply amazing !!!

@DonnieCain - right on bruh! In Europe & certain groups here, love that EDM stuff. He just showed everyone he can do that, I've no opinion on that kind of music, but I can say that his biggest strengths have always been, taking someone else's song & making it his own. This was likely the first clue that America got to make them realize that this guy is no one-trick pony. He's the real deal, and talented beyond belief. ❤❤❤

Never really liked this song from Drake but Alejandro's version made me a huge fan of the song. When he first performed it I thought it wasn't his best but after listened to it a second time, it might be my new favorite. This guy is something special.

I've rewatched this several times and I have changed my mind. Now I think this was pretty magical for an American Idol contestant to be rearranging, recording and djing his own interpretation of a Drake song. When you put all of Alejandro's live performances together, he is clearly the winner of American Idol regardless of the voting on Sunday night. This guy can do anything better than the original!

I love the way he made it his own song. Most people miss that

I don't watch Idol since Adam Lambert. Watching this season after Alejandro came to audition. Being said that, I don't know how many contestants who have come to live on stage performance and bring EDM to the table. I assume none. Or maybe very rare. And because of that, in my opinion, the stage production was maybe kinda clue-less of what to do with it. But not Alejandro, he knows what he wanted to present (like always). He rearranged the arrangement himself and put his own spin. But at the same time, he doesn't have much experiences yet of live stage performance. Drake original One Dance was work of months and did it by more than one person, plus recorded professionally. While Alejandro did it alone and in short period of time. If he would be given much longer time, I am sure it would be dope. I appreciate this performance, enjoyed it and his smile is contagious 😊.

The arrangement is very creative. This kid is something else. What a wonderful discovery for music.
