This was so amazing performance and I loved the sound so much. It reminds me of a kind of music my dad loves from Jamaica, called Ska.

As an advanced Ukulele player myself. Sofia Vergara, I did not appreciate you dissing the Ukulele guitar. Clearly you have not even heard close to even half of the hundreds of beautiful songs that can be played on the Ukulele. Whether its pop songs, jazz and soul songs or country songs etc. The Ukulele is very versatile and one of the very best self taught Instruments. I enjoy playing the Ukulele a 1000 times more than I do an accoustic guitar. For one it does not hurt my fingers to play the Ukulele and can either make a song laid back of more challenging if you prefer on the Uke. Sometimes I just want to kick back and play a song and sing and the Ukulele is one of the best instruments you can kick back with and play and enjoy because its so much easier to play. So before you diss and hate on the Ukulele again, I suggest playing some youtube videos of some of the 1000's on youtube who are playing the Ukulele and posting video's. There are so many good songs out there being played on the Ukulele Its impossible to name them all. Some like Jason Mraz "I'm Yours" Ed Sheeran songs played on the Ukulele "Shape of You", "Give Me Love", "Perfect" and many more. Castle on the Cloud Les Miserables song finger picki g style sounds great.. Claire Lune Debussy on the Uke sounds great fingerpicked! Same goes for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper "Shallow". Halsey "Without Me" Miley Cyrus "When I Look At You". So many wonderful songs out there from several different music genres can be played on the Ukuele. I also find writing new songs on the Ukulele very easy sinceI know the instrument so well. You can unleash your creativity and show the world your talent. How can Sofia Vergara say the Ukulele was annoying when we have amazing super stars like Ukulele player Grace Vanderwaal come from AGT. Thats a bit of a slap inthe face. I love Grace Vanderwaal and Im so happy we have amazing Uke players and singers like her shining a light down on this amazing instrument that is the Ukulele. For anyone insterested in getting a Ukulele, I suggest the Ibenez 19 fret Concert Ukulele. They sound great and be sure to get the one with a built in tuner. My first Ukulele was a Kala brand 12 fret Soprano Ukulele which is the smallest Ukulele. And its a great beginner Ukulele and it sounds great as well.

Never too late to start. They both started at age 5, but I'm their dad I didn't get started with harmonica and music until about age 19. I was in college and used harmonica practice as a good excuse to not study so I got in a good 4-8 hours in every day. It's just takes commitment over time and it's very doable- Dave Gage

Why is this surprising? there's a worldwide pandemic going on still and those auditions were probably filmed after it already started.
