Darci's just singing was amazing. Singing without opening you mouth crazy. Singing while doing voice impressions, not opening your mouth, and manipulating a puppet? Absolutely insane, she defenitely deserved that.

I don't cry very easily, but this made me tear up, thinking of my younger brother, who is quite severely autistic. He probably is never going to work, have a girlfriend, get married and have kids... but he can paint. He can really paint.

I did not think he was super good. What makes you think he was super good? He played a pop song and for half the time along with a pop song. I would not call that a virtuoso level performance. I'm glad for him and wish him well. The actual performance was good but not elite in my opinion.

Man, If you didn't tear up at least a few times watching this video, rather if it's from joy or sadness, I don't know which pile of salt you came from. Seeing others be that happy makes me smile and gives me tears of joy. Seeing others cry or be sad makes me feel sad and tear up. I feel those people way more than any hate that people try to bring to this world. Seeing people having emotions makes them real and beautiful. It makes me feel like those are the people I want to be around with. It shares comfort and warmth rather than cold bloody war. We all need that.

It’s so enriching to see how Nightbirde’s “It’s Okay” was brought back to life in the most beautiful way this season by the South African choir, Mzanzi.

For those who don’t know, Grace Vanderwaal is now an amazing singer and Taylor Swift ACTUALLY sent her flowers! So what Simon predicted was true!

"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore to decide to be happy." - Nightbirde Out of everything I took away from her performance and her story, this struck a serious chord in me. It is not often we're given an absolutely obvious moment to really absorb something until it's already happened. Accepting is a hard thing sometimes and so is understanding and having empathy or compassion. The world has become very uptight and no one seems to smile quite like those who are going through the most anymore. Those that are seriously going through something are always the ones taking time for others or providing what they're not receiving. Making an active choice to be happy is not the easiest thing to do especially with what is always projected onto us. Good news isn't told anymore; it has to be sought out. There is a note of humbleness and gratefulness in her statement. Be happy with what you have right now. It might not be what you want or are working towards, but in this moment, you're here. To whoever reads this, you're heard and understood. You're not alone and good things are on the way. Help is coming; peace in the storm has to be sought out. Don't be afraid to stop for a moment and just accept who you are right this second. One day, this version of you will be a stepping stone to you in the future. And that's okay. Don't be ashamed or be afraid; even the worst things we do are completely authentic feelings even if for a split second. You've got this.

Thank you so much! I had tears running when she said that and wrote it down. And when Simon said 'she didn't make the finals' I decided it was time to pause the video and walk my dog to reflect on this. Looking at the stars, seeing the milky way, thinking about my struggles and of so many others, yes you need to decide to be happy. When others ask me how I manage to smile I tell them I use scotch tape and quickly they smile too, which is so heart-warming. We need to spread positivity amidst the darkness. Be a light.

DarcyLynn was my Dad's favorite...he passed 3 weeks after she won. Nightbird still makes me weep when I see her, but I would watch her again and again.

Nightbirde still brings me to tears to this day. She was a great singer and an even greater person. Miss her a lot.

Darci Lynne is amazing. Seriously. I’m completely floored and blown away by her. She is a once in a lifetime talent. She deserves all the success in the world!

Mandy Harvey, Grace Vanderwaal, and Nightbirde were some of my favorite singers. Not only are they incredible for showcasing such amazing talent despite their challenges, but their music is straight up amazing. I've listened to it on multiple occasions and loved how it sounds

something that always stuck with me with the taekwondo group, wasn’t only their sheer talent but the clear display of unwavering discipline they showed. the unison they were all in, like you could genuinely place them in a line, one in front of the other and think it was one person.

Wow! that young boy with that violin blew me away 👏 👏 👏 absolutely amazing performance. Baby my son had to go chemotherapy and surgeries in his head and he looked different and kids bullied him. My son is doing well and I pray you are. Just like my boy you are a star. Keep shining you both came out on top. I'm crying in so happy.

but Nightbirde.....God bless her.....I am battling cancer myself and even though she is gone, earned her angel wings......I feel her strength.....EVERY SINGLE DAY.....EVERY TREATMENT, APPT AND UP AND DOWN.....RIP JANE, RIP

Please forgive me for correcting your TV theology. I understand why we like to believe that, but it's not biblical. We do not ever become angels. We do not ever earn our "wings". That is movie theology straight from the old Christmas movie, It's A Wonderful Life. Salvation is a gift of God and based only on Faith alone. You cannot earn it. It is important to get our theology from the Bible. It saddens me that most people rarely crack open their Bibles and read the Word of God. It is the lifeblood of a believer's walk with the Lord. How else can you get to know Him? I'm not saying you don't read your Bible. I really wrote this response for the people reading your comment, and because "earning wings" is something a family member says that always bothers me. So please don't take my correction personally. When i heard simon saying nightbirde recently died from cancer it really shocked me she was an angel now she is resting in heaven so peacefully..... I also loved her quote "you cant wait until life isnt hard anymore before you decide to be happy" best quote ever..... All these performances has enspired me so much and i even cried during this other performances..... ❤✨

When I heard Nightbirde has passed away my heart dropped... I've never even seen her audition before, I paused before she even started singing, but just her smile, her positivity, her optimism, she is, well, was, an amazing amazing person, and I'm so sad that it's always the best people that get taken away. Rest in peace beautiful girl

She's been a huge inspiration for me. I've been fighting colorectal cancer, with some lymph nodes involved, for a year now. When I get discouraged, or I'm in a lot of pain, I go back to her audition video. She was so powerful. So wise, so upbeat and so happy in herself. No wonder Simon was emotional at her loss. I know I was.

Omg, Kodi's performance had me in tears. It was literally the mixture of perfection and imperfection. Although hes blind and autistic he played the piano and sang so perfectly it was unbelievable. Hes literally an angel ❤

For the wonderful woman who sang and lost her hearing, I couldn’t imagine if she got to hear the crowd cheering and cheering, it’s just so heartwarming

Wow... watching this in 2023, and still blown away by the Taekwondo team. They're so underrated, but it was incredible! Golden buzzer well received :)

I will never be able to say this enough, Nightbird touched the hearts of so so so many. Even though I have not been through the same troubles as she did but her song resonated with me to a level that I cannot express enough. Nightbird is dearly missed and not forgotten.

Kodi Lee and night bird made me believe in miracles, they are incredible!! Words can't describe these amazing talent. It brought me into tears.

The Taekwondo team is awesome. Anything to do/performs as a team’s always take more efforts/time of practices than as an individual (my thought). Their performance is absolutely Awesome! A well deserved that Golden Buzzer.

you know... i'm 27, i haven't cried since I enrolled in the army. Back then my baby brother visited me along side my parents once and i broke down in tears. this video made me tear up 3 separate times. the choir, the pianist and last performer... there truly is good left in the world

The kid, the tekwendo, and That big group of kids just got me in tears 😊😢

I won't shut up until Simon Cowell gets recognition for what he has done for soo many people that would never have been heard , or seen , but for him !

I was actually mesmerised by Nightbirde, the song was gorgeous, amazing voice with such a beautiful smile. I forgot what I was even watching... and that quote at the end made me cry. I was so happy for that gold buzzer. It's such a shame she isn't with us anymore... but at least we can say with the amount of positivity she brought, the world didn't get any darker, she brought too much light to people with that performance ❤

me being a black belt in tkd (taekwondo) and world tkd getting a golden buzzer tells me to never give up because when things are looking down there is always something to bright it up.

This was probably one of the best videos AGT is put out. Getting to listen to Terry and Simon without a bunch of fans around, getting their true feelings, was amazing. I think Terry is a person who teaches us all lessons too. And it's nice to see Simon now as opposed to when the show started. You can see his transformation from the mean guy to a guy who has learned a lot from others throughout the show and became a better person.
