Amanda's performance was the stand out... Capturing her audience from the very first note. The team behind the Simon Cowell one was probably more rememberable for me for it's comic value as well as a good voice but perhaps more for the fear factor. That much technology, that ability to put people so convincingly in situations, having them say (or sing) anything at all, could be used for evil as well as for entertainment.

@@misspeggy1771 Amanda, Nicole, Luke, Demi, And Aleesha were actually singing, Julianne and Jennifer lip synced. For Simon though, There was a group of brothers who brought an opera singer to sing the song while AI materialised simon's face onto the singer.

She picked the wrong song to showcase her excellent voice. She seemed to be hollering. Julianne Huff…looked stinky in that…ribbon/ bra/panty/curtain thingy AND bare feet…no ma’am. Her voice was subpar. J-Lo in her sparkly bathing suit/heavy church pantyhose…uh-k. But she looks fantastic and dances great. Her voice is as it always has been… just ok. That Simon performance was ASTOUNDING! Great job “Simon”🤣 Alesha Dixon….no lip syncing for you! Real dancing and real singing. You was tired but you did yo thang girl. But your daughter’s outfit…too small for you. Luke Bryan no lip synching…fully dressed, you seemed to be struggling with hearing yourself but did a good job👏🏾 Demi Lovatooooo WTW did I just watch and listen to? She is a fantastic singer. This was terriblè. She looked bad, sounded worse. Amanda Holden sounded like a tweenager. No ma’am . At least you’re fully dressed. Liked the white mic. That hairstyle was Predator-esque🤣🤣🤣

For me Amanda was the most impressive because it was a far more difficult song to sing and she sang it like it was effortless. Plus, no overproduction and overdone colours and too many dancers going everywhere all so distracting - just a singer, with a mic, singing beautifully.

I absolutely agree, "just a singer with a mic," please! I think in reality any of those elaborate productions would receive, 'the hand' from Simon and be asked if they could sing something a capella and without all the showbiz. Holding the judges to their judging standards would be very interesting.

Omg, Amanda's performance was simply beautiful. I already loved this song originally from Sweeny Todd, but this version is my new favorite.

Amanda Holden was the best. 1. The melody was great 2. The lyric content was great 3. The emotional content was great and her voice was great. The song had a very British style to it.

Yeah, this performance is off. But you can see her taking her ear-piece out so something was wrong with the sound and the beat so the performance wasn´t coordinated.

15:22 I remember this....there was a huge Debate about Amanda singing for ages after this was done. Loads of people claimed it was faked and staged, and there was strange other reports too. I am not sure if anyone else remembers, but it was wild for a bit.

I love Nicole. Julianne thinks she's who, Britney Spears? Love Luke Bryan. I never knew Amanda could sing like that.

Sometimes it’s just not feasible not to lip-synch. Like in Jennifer’s case, it involves a lot of dancing, and a routine, which would obviously put you out of breath. Which would make everything harder to do, which is why the case of lip-synching is needed because it’s just hard to sing while out of breath, and remember a whole routine.

AGT is a singing competition not a lip-syncing competition. The question was: Can The Judges Sing? To find out I would like them to be judged in the same manner they judge contestants on their show. As for singers like Jennifer, if she can't dance and sing at the same time during a live performance then she needs to adjust her dance routine not resort to lip-syncing. It's my understanding that she is the worst when it comes to faking live performances.

Actually this is a talent competition which means you can sing, you can dance and you can tell jokes. Obviously trying to do it all at once is a bit of a challenge. Luv'd the Simon cotestant. Not sure Amanda Holden wasn't lip sinking but she does put on a good show. There are a lot more judges that can sing better even on a bad day.
