Mili Teresa much of it is staged and much of it isn’t even actual. E.g. in this season, they are adding in completely non-existent screaming and clapping from the audience that’s not there because of covid restrictions. High chance Simon wasn’t even reaching for his buzzer at that moment but they pulled another shot of him from another act and put it in this clip. All generated drama instead of just showing us the talent.

They are looking for acts to go to Vegas or some other big stage generally. Someone playing violin doesn't have a chance against some of these more exciting acts. Perhaps Simon feels that violins are easier to learn than how to sing well (for at least how she played), and as such, it's not an impressive or marketable. It annoys you because you don't understand the business side of what the show's trying to accomplish. I can give an example. In the music industry, decent guitarists are a dime a dozen, but unique & great sounding vocalists are much harder to find and hard to replace.

@@dhLotan That's hilarious because you can switch the objects and still achieve a true statement. In the music industry, decent vocalists are a dime a dozen, but unique & great-sounding guitarists are much harder to find and hard to replace. Though not as amusing as saying that playing the violin is "easier to learn than how to sing well". Ultimately, it is just about fashion trends and the target market. Most people here aren't stupid, they get the business side of things. It doesn't stop it from being somewhat annoying. It's like how bland sequels of burned-out film franchises still have a good chance of making money, but it doesn't make the practice any less tiring. Edit: Mind, the entire thing was obviously staged. Simon was only playing his "evil judge" role for the audience. It is the scenario that is annoying, not the person himself.

You think? Because playing the violin is less valuable than singing? People who come on this show and sing are just doing karaoke, and yet they always win. Most people would be able to sing a song, but most wouldn’t be able to play a single note on the violin. It’s time for people to realize that this is America’s got talent, not the X Factor. Even if she just played the violin, it still doesn’t justify at all Simon wanting to press the red buzzer.

Some people are born with a “God given talent” and it has nothing to do with hard work or years of training, if that’s the case then how do you explain away a 4 year old that preforms as good as a life-long seasoned professional (and this example can be displayed across all the arts). God given is an expression used to explain something we don’t understand, it has no barring on whether or not God is actually real. The bottom line, the human mind is sometimes blessed with extraordinary talents and the brightest minds in the world have no explanation for it. If you don’t want to use the term “God given” to explain this phenomenon, then what term would you use?

I couldn't agree more. The generic singers today are massively autotuned. Their songs are bland, the lyrics are shallow. A lot of their songs sound the same. I can't tell who's singing what. I thought she was Rihanna. I thought Carly Rae was Jessica Simpson. A lot of these 'singers', mostly women, rely on being 2/3 naked, humping the air or each other. One song, IMO, I think is one of the most disgusting songs I've ever heard and KZread put it on Trending. A 'song' called "WAP". I can't spell out the word, 'peni5' or 'v@gin@' because 'censoring'. Yet, they have no problems with people typing 'p***y' or 'd**k'. There's a channel that focuses on family life and homesteading. No smut. Yet, KZread will demonitize, possibly remove, any video they put up if it shows a cow giving birth, something natural. God forbid the children watch and learn how babies are brought into this world. 🙄 But, putting a raunchy video on Trending that shows 2 women simulating sex on stage for anyone to watch is ok? Are there others, like me, who's tired of the smutty entertainment and mind numbing songs? How much is too much before you start to feel your IQ drop? Gabrielle and many other natural talents who need no autotune have trouble getting their foot in the door. And, Simon, like many others in the music biz, end up turning these awesome talents into generic pop singers singing the same ol' crap.
