I don’t know why Katy would be jealous. Beautiful young faces with talent are overflowing in LA especially in Hollywood, all striving to get noticed. This girl is just one in a million. Beauty and talent is also not enough many times, there are many young talents who hit it big and then forgotten about just as quickly. Katy is already at a comfortable place in her career, her name is pretty well known even in other countries, and she has had many hits and is now settling down with a fiancé (or is she married now idk) and has a baby. I just don’t know why she would be jealous of this girl who we will most likely not even hear from again

Saw her when I was attending the 2018 Grammy Awards. Congrats you really deserve it! I'm proud.

This shows that a pretty face can get you places, her voice was nice but on another less attractive person it wouldn't have been good enough to go through. None the less I think she's sweet and I'm happy for her!

of course looks will always be a factor on judging an idol it may not be explicitly told to be considered but it is an advantage, look at the music industry right now good looks and talent are overflowing. you always criticise these types of shows yet you know that visuals is also part of an artist's charisma, get over it.

Honestly her tone was fine but her pitch was all over the place. Not saying she doesn’t have potential but not ready for AI just yet.

They knew she’d make it in entertainment anyhow, so they gave her a boost because they would be tied to it... it’s not uncommon

Lovely look and innocent/good stage presence.. She maintained good vocal control through nerves, but the only thing she struggled with was staying in key by a hair most of the way through. Great potential for reaching vocal perfection eventually

I'm sure 'the wife' is well aware of the need for entertainment on this show. And each judge needs to be as entertaining as the other two are. The judges are as much a part of this entertainment equation as are the contestants. So Luke is just doing his part, his job, to entertain. To earn those million$$$! Which 'the wife' enjoys as well. She would not be very wise to kill the goose that lays big, fat golden eggs, would she!!! In Hollywood the rules are a bit different from those in suburban/urban/rural America. And (petty) jealousy is just not endearing or rewarded. All of the judges have so many people throwing themselves at them, constantly, it isn't even funny! But sex without love is so very, VERY, boring! It's just sweaty exercise--- with a stranger, that you neither know or like. So the point is...... what??? Perhaps I'm the odd one, but that kind of stuff never, ever, had any appeal to me. Even when I was in my 20's. Sex without love is/was just so very, very, very boring!!! Sex with someone you truely love is a whole different ball of wax!!!

Have yall ever seen he and his wife together and the tight family they have? They are not getting divorced and Luke's wife would not think twice about him joking around like this. It is just his goofy personality. They are the biggest pranksters that I've seen and Luke's mom now that is a whole other story, these folks remained humble after the success and Luke Bryan is more a stand up guy than anyone will ever give him credit for after raising all of his nieces and nephews after tragic circumstances.

It wasn’t about how loud she was..soft breathy singing can be beautiful. It was her constant key and pitch changes that were the issue for me. Maybe she does better not in an audition, but there on that stage, she did not do well with her singing. 👍

The show must not have much talent this season.

Beautiful??? To each her own! She was OK, I guess. But I wouldn't turn around, walking down the sidewalk, for another look. And a sweet, soothing voice....... sweet maybe but not a voice I would want to listen to every day for 50 years. A 'little girl' voice on a 40 year old woman is just plain weird! If not tragic!!! Why would anyone want to sound like an air head??? Intentionally? Can anyone be 'innocent' past a certain age... 20, 25, 30? Hardly!!! She is quickly approaching the upper age limit for that act!!! IMO. ------------- What I found concerning was the fact she seemed just way too comfortable trading on her visual appeal rather than being taken seriously as per her 'talent'. (Which, I guess, was singing??? Right?) Truth be told the judges did not think she displayed solid, real talent, musically, but they succumbed to their humanness and got caught up in this girl's aura. What can I say, it happens! All the time! Very attractive people just have a much, much easier time in life than someone who is downright unattractive. Doors just magically open for them. Less is required. More is given, for free, of coarse. Attractiveness is or can be a real aide but as this contestant pointed out---- beauty fades!!! That is for sure! As that old saying goes: Beauty fades but dumb is forever!!! sums things up as well as anything can. If you could choose, for yourself, pick brains over beauty. Brains can sustain you were as beauty is just so very transitory!

I can’t help hearing Paul McCartney’s tender and then fiery vocal running in tandem through my mind as I listen to this performance. He’d gotten the first verse of the lyric from a lullaby, the music written in 1885 by WJ Henderson to a poem written in 1603 by Thomas Dekker. Paul had seen the music on a relatives’ piano and being unable to read sheet music he made up his own melody for it. The poem is only two verses. I know why she picked this song, she was probably very moved by it. However…I believe she did later find her niche. Katie Belle AGT audition 2019 ‘Golden Slumbers’ (original poem known as ‘Cradle Song’)

Reisha Sake I agree totally. Her sweet aura is a distraction to her individual musicality. As a Beatles fan myself, her choice of “Golden Slumbers” ala Jennifer Hudson already spoke volumes

@@wendyname334 , I was old schooled and was taught ..if u have nothing good to say about someone, is best not to say anything. We have no controls of how we look , the color of our skin , the color or our eyes n so forth. That's why she should not criticize based on something that one has no control over . If her attitude sticks then we should . I see before my eyes a beautiful , humble girl, giving her all to live the best life she could . Taking each opportunity as her last !! I'm sure Wendy ure beautiful too and let's uplift each other . Life is way too short for none sense!!

People aren't denying she's beautiful. Just that others who are less beautiful with more talent and better technique and vocal control have been rejected, and that a less attractive or likeable person giving that performance would not go through. Katie herself said her voice needs work, but they put her through anyway, believing their coaches will improve on that, because they liked her style. But other people whose voices have needed work have been told to work on it and come back another time.
