I was surprised that Simon broke down so much when the last guy of the night sang the song he sang about loosing his friend until i found out that Simon had just recently lost his mother. I can imagine that his rendition of the song made Simon relive the loss of his mother just a short time before. And his reaction at the end after hearing that song sung for all of the children to raise money for them was the same as mine. He's a reminder that no matter how hard or mean you think some people are deep down inside they all have a heart that can be melted by the right situation. Simon is an example of a brutally honest person when he needs to be, and a man with a heart of pure gold when it's called for. I admire the man for both qualities. I wish more people in this world were like him.

Yeah no, Simon has definitely been rude in the past. The truth DOES hurt sometimes - which is why there's no need to make it more painful than it has to be with condescending laughter and mocking insults.

Simon is known as the "tough judge", but the man truly has a huge heart. He has given contestants the opportunity to start their performance over with a different song on several occasions. He is a very loving, compassionate man.

Small_ Potato part of Simons brutal honesty is a real intro to show biz... if you can’t take the heat you probably don’t need to make the cut. Show biz is tough and he screens ppl out by his honesty filter... he explained before the brutality one has to walk through to make it in the industry.He is a kind heart with a tough exterior. Actually if he hits the buzzer he doesn't like you and sees no potential. If he holds up his hand to stop you it's because he sees something in you but it just hasn't been released yet and is probably gonna give advice on how he thinks you could do it. I know a few times when he held his hand up he tried and succeeded in some cases to find the right song for a singer in order to properly judge them. For all he knows it's just the song choice holding them back.

When I'm sitting in the studio - I can hear a great vocalist sing amazingly - yet if it doesn't touch me, it's just well sung notes. Then out of nowhere they sing the same thing - only it's NOT the same! It's Electric! The hair on my arm stands straight up! Tears come to my eyes - and I KNOW that They Have Done It!! THAT's the "Vocal Take" that we keep - even if it is technically flawed - cuz it Has The Magic - The Magic that touches Peoples' Hearts.

I love Simon. He truly is a kind hearted person and he helps guide and direct singers to a wonderful future. Look at Susan Boyle. She’s a multimillionaire now which I feel deserves every cent. Simon also anonymously donates to organizations and charities...which shows he’s very humble.

I love this girl. She sings and writes her own songs @ 13 years young. Watching her father battle cancer and yet she stayed strong throughout the competition. Don't stop singing ever. Evie, your father is so proud of you! I saw when you auditioned. The look in his eyes of such emotion, showed how proud to see his daughter sing so beautifu her own song, I cried. I also lost someone dear to me 10 years ago, at the young age of 27. His four kids range from 2 to 9 years old. I am blessed watching them grow with a part of him. As you do of your dad. It still hurts but not as much. Time heals all wounds. Time!

There are a lot of contests that make me cry and I felt the same as Simon and the rest of the judges on some of these. It amazes me at some of these people that comes on the stage and open their hearts to the world about some of the struggles that no one should have to go through and then stand their and sing their hearts out or tell a story about a tragic event for the world to see. I think it takes a very special kind of person to do that.

The first girl sang so beautifully.

He's a good man, just keeps shit real. As a judge should.

@lloveharrystyles simon tells the brutal truth to people who come onto the stage because he can’t sugarcoat the truth or otherwise they might think something else and end up yk thinking they are really good when they might not be. This is reality and when you come onto the stage, that’s when you have to face the hard truth. He told kids that they weren’t good in maybe a “rude manner” but everyone knows that’s just how Simon is and his measly comments of “you can’t sing” or like “you aren’t good” shouldn’t drive people to committing suicide. The bigger picture is that something else is happening with them so you can’t blame it on Simon, he’s a man of telling what he thinks. Also when did he “body shame”?

@lloveharrystyles Dude, Simon is honest. That's a lot more than most other people. Yes he can come across as rude and all that but he keeps it real with people. If someone wants to kill themselves because of what one man *said,* then that is their problem and their problem only. Simon deserves everything, man. He is a good person and if you're gonna hate on him because he tells the brutal, honest truth that no one else has the balls to tell, then just shut up.

Simon's last reaction seemed the most genuine to me. Sobbing was the only way he could find to express his feelings, most touching. Just when I think I don't like Simon, he pulls me in with his emotion, reminding me we are all in this together.

The one right before it was but he was really trying to hide it. He had lost his mom shortly before that and the song really hit him hard, that's why he didnt want to speak because he didnt want to have to explain it all. If you watch the full audition they show him leaving after and Cheryl is very concerned cause she knows what's wrong but she doesnt know what to do.

Well, in these moments im always quite sure the story got blown up a little for the show. I think the trained dog attacked the criminal, bite his arm and he then stabbed the dog, rather than imagine the dog jumped in front of the guy in the last moment -.-

16:41 I tear up or full on cry every time I hear this song by Josh. I lost one of my good friends a few years ago to an accidental drug overdose, and it absolutely crushed me for a long time. When I found this song, it really helped me process parts of my feelings and a lot of the guilt I placed on myself, and I'm in a better place with it now.

As a parent who said goodbye to my child this song may become my anthem. Only one change to lyrics, "I can hardly look at you". I would have to add, "but I can't look away". Knowing your child may be taking their last breath, makes it impossible to look away, even if it's nearly as hard to look at them in their suffering.

I wish more men were given the permission to cry. My husband is a tatted, motorcycle riding, martial artist with arms like tree trunks. This guy is a "man's man". But lemme tell you, when I was critically ill, when our daughter (his step daughter) made him a book for Father's Day, he shed tears. I would never see him as anything other than my super hero but the fact that he will allow himself to be vulnerable makes him moreso a hero in my eyes, and every stitch of a "real man".

Simon's reaction to last video just brought me to tears. Children suppose to be happy. Not to suffer. I'd give everything I am to save them and give them another chance. I'd go to heaven with a huge smile. I am a mother, and I know how parents feel. We'd give up our lives in a heartbeat. I would not even think it twice if it was up to me to save all these children's lives.

To the 4th one, the reason Simon was so emotional is that his mother died short before the audition. So no wonder he needed to go, every human being would break down but Simon kept being professional as long as he could. U see it especially when the other judge looked over to him that something is wrong. Can't help but love Simon, such a great man

Simon isnt rude at all, hes just being a good judge and hes just doing as he is told, doing his job. Look, fine maybe he can be rude sometimes but we can't just judge a book by its cover, I guess, I used to hate Simon, but now that I've been watching Britain's Got Talent more often, I've noticed that he isn't that bad. And everyone has there own opinions and I support all these comments even if they are bad or good. 😊

That's because animals are innocent and pure. They have not a single bad bone in their body. They don't know right from wrong and they don't have bad intentions. That's why I've always had a soft spot for them compared to humans. I understand how Simon feels.
