Maaaan....I almos shed a tear when Lionel was speaking to him and Alejandro almost bursted in tears. You can tell no one had ever had genuinely told him how freaking amazing he is...

It's not just that Alejandro is super chill, super nice. But he's the most talented contestant ever, and he's very meek about his talent, which makes him more likable.

We are witnessing something extraordinary happening. A legend in the making and we are lucky enough to listen to a true musical genius. Only legends can move you with their music and voice. They inspire and hypnotize you with their sound. They are remembered because they literally touch your soul. I would argue that this kid is even greater than a legend. He manages to grab your soul and you become transfixed by his sound. He hooks you and you want more and can't get enough. One day even legends will travel far distances just to meet him. My god what a talent. How lucky are we......

This is what the intersection of art and music looks like. So refreshing!

I strongly believe that an artist of the caliber and fiber of Ben Harper only came to a show like American idol because of Alejandro Aranda. He changed the show forever. I feel blessed for having had the honor and pleasure of witnessing this great artist take his first steps into the professional music world. I hope he gets a chance to spread his music everywhere in the world.

BEN HARPER!!!! Lifetime fan here. An icon and master of emotional songwriting! Never thought he would be on American Idol. Wow! So glad Alejandro requested him.

This is one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen on American Idol. I keep watching it over and over. Great chemistry between Alejandro and Ben.

Alejandro's perfomance was like being next to a campfire in a cold night, looking at the bright stars illuminating the dark skies and then suddenly you hear a soothing, warm song carried by the wind to your ears.... Ahhh.. this guy is very unique.

Humility backed by his incredible talent. This guy is the real deal. The music industry needs more artists who aren’t full of themselves, who just want to spread they joy of their art! I would gladly pay to listen to his music or concert.

I haven’t watched this show in like 14 years, he’s the ONLY reason I watch and count the days hours till I see his next performance, I cannot get enough of his unique talent.I hope he wins! I will be voting for him every week!!

His voice is so calming. Like when you are stressed play his song then it takes you to a paradise and forget the troubles you are in

Alejandro Aranda, he is amazing. I would buy albums with just him. He would write a movies with this songs and I see the movie again and again. I just can't believe how good he is. He doesn't know how good he is either!! ☺♫♫♫☺

I love Alejandro's singing!!! Since I heard him on the auditions, everyday I listen to his beautiful, relaxing and soothing God given gift of a voice!!

I didn't sleep just to see his performance.. gosh ... He's so good..

There's just something about Alejandro that makes him so very unique and special. I enjoy the calm and quietness. Sometimes that's what we need in this crazy & fast paced world.

Finally a full artist with composition, instrumental skills, and vocals. There are some good singers and performers but Alejandro is what gets me excited for the show. I really hope he brings out the piano just to show people the level he is at.

I REALLY LIKE WHAT JUDGES SAY ALL THE TIME, FULL OF CONTENT AND MEANING. We remember Simon, Randy and Paula telling the young contestants: it was good or it was bad... Re-watching this after almost 2 years. Alejandro (ScaryPoolParty) is about to release his 3rd album. This performance with Ben Harper was so cool - it was like watching a Grammy's performance. His solo music is so different from this - he's so talented and versatile. Looking forward to seeing what he does next.

I've never been following a single contestant like I've been following Alejandro. Every performance is full of emotion, passion and beauty. I already have his spotify songs in my favorites list, it's very rare to have someone with this kind of talent, I mean there are other incredible contestants like Wade Cota or Eddie Island, but it's like Alejandro is just ready to take on the charts, his songs are already amazing!! And with such a humble heart...dang. Love him!

I have been begging for The Rebirth of rock and roll and storytelling. Alejandro you are the man!! I will buy every single album you release

Every time Alejandro begins singing, it instantly brings a smile to my face. His voice is just so beautiful.

And he hasn’t played piano since his first audition (when he played a bit)... I’d love he played a killer song he has, “Blesser”.... Chopin-meets-Jamiroquai style.... blazing, jaw-dropping piano technique....

Amazing, I said the same thing the other day about the light Jamiroquai feel to his style and music. Its refreshing, listening to this artist do what he does. I also enjoy that he came make any song Taylor to his style of singing.

@@gustavcastro7384 I'm kind of wondering how he got Ben, because what I got out of this probably isn't what most people got, Ben pushed him, and it wasn't perfect because its outside of Alejandro's comfort zone, but at the same time its reality tv history. This was just next level, and it resonated with the audience, even if they don't get the technical stuff. I already really admire Alejandro's guitar skills, I think because he is self taught he knew what kind of sounds he wanted and he learned how to make them, this wasn't typical Alejandro guitar either, you can tell when an artist really appreciates another artist, and Ben and Alejandro put a lot of time in this. On a totally different tangent I was really happy Jeremiah got Cynthia Erivoh, when I hear him I hear Broadway calling.

Alejandro's musicianship on the guitar is subtle yet distinctly leading. Amazing.

So much feels. Listening to this performance, eyes closed, brings so much calmness in my heart.

This is the best American idol for along time the talent this season is absolutely PHENOMENAL. Go Alejandro you were my fab from day 1.
