I’ve watched many different talent shows. But Grace Vanderwaal is the only artist in all of these contests who composed, arranged, and performed all of her own original songs all throughout! She’s a legend and she deserved this victory!

What are you talking about? she's just 1 of the hundreads of kids singers got to the finals. Just another singer that came to ruin agt. At least Darci used a unique thing. But I'm tired of people thinking that Grace is a good singer. Go to kids reality show and we're all really lucky to not hear her name anymore. I'll also add that I was really happy that they didn't took her for champions, cause she doesn't even deserve to pass the quarters.

I watched this live on TV! She's like my age, and she's sooooo talented! Hope she's doing well!

Despite singers winning this show before, Grace Vanderwaal is the first and only original songwriter to win. So her victory was a much bigger deal than people think. In fact, ever since her win more and more kids have auditioned for the show with their own original songs. Grace really did make an impact.

Thank you so much. I feel better that I am not the only one. The minute the show came on I was chomping at the bit for some way to tell him to please, please take the cap off. I don't even know what to call it. It looks like something from the 1820's, I don't know if anyone has noticed but from when he first started to this day his outfits have become more and more outlandish from the top of his head (now) to the bottom of his sparkling shoes. I don't know you think he put this together himself? I cannot imagine that he looked in the mirror and then at the dress people saying really? But who knows. This was not a good look though.Schwoo I feel better finally getting that off my chest. Please Nick come back next year not so outlandish. I like you better when you don't look so outlandish. Grace deserved to win. So did quite a few of the others. It's hard to decide. I wouldn't have voted for Grace just because she isn't the act that I would have most liked to see out of all these talents. I'm still happy for her though and hope she does well with her career.

I normally agree with people, who say, that they don't think this show should be for singers, but for other talents. Normally, when it's really just about singing. But Grace is so much more than a singer! She writes her own (good) songs at an age of 12. Her personality is just heartwarming and then she plays the ukulele as well. I mean, come on people. This girl is just AWESOME! :-D

+Sherman Smart - Tape Face's didn't manage to up his game each time. Yes he was funny but it got old very fast. The only reason to watch him again was to see if he could do something stupider than he did last time. But, as a mime, he's definitely not Marcel Marceau (in fairness, no-one is) But in case you didn't know - he's not a street performer looking for his big break. He's originally from New Zealand and has his own show in Britain. And the Clairvoyants are already famous - they travel the world performing their act. Fact is, with the exception of Sal, all the adult finalists have established careers in the entertainment business (and that includes Brian Crum whose sob story was pretty much made up out of whole cloth - he was getting called out for being a poseur on Twitter - don't think his reactions helped his standings)

Of course Skelton said the same about him) I thought it was refreshing, even though his act was insane, to see an artist of the old school plying his wares.

TapeFace is a comedian, not Mime! Those are 2 different things. He's sort of going by Buster Keaton, he was a silent comedian that was in movies. The acts that he was doing on the show, he was giving us a little taste of what he can do because he wants you to see him in person and also the acts that he does, he does them so you feel like a kid again. Now he got exposure from American fans that love him!

I've almost cried all the times I watched this

"America has VOTED!" Grace was without a doubt hand's down the most Talented contestant on the show. Since then she has defied all the haters and is absolutely Killin' it out in the music world. ✌

She is a very talented girl, the thing is she's just so amazing and she has such a wonderful gift of music. She writes her OWN songs and I KNOW she WILL have a BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT future! Good job Grace. :)

I don't know why I cried. She's just so young but is more mature than a forty year old. She deserves this massively and I know she'd spend the money correctly, as in put some towards charity. Not that it's the correct way but she'll help someone out. Also the fact that she doesn't know that she's famous amazes me. She's so humble. Again, she deserves this so much. Also I'm younger than her by a year which is crazy as she seems so much older.

I think people need to realize that most "magic" is the same with every magician out there. Every magic act involves coincidence and guessing and chance and setup. Most common magic props are: cards, books (specifically pages in the book in question), and a thumper (I think it's called that at least). No magician can actually cast a spell and poof a bunch of candy appears. There's always the same gimmick behind most magic acts. While singers are the select few who have a good voice and can create something with that voice and just "cast" a certain atmosphere.

They don't have X Factor in the US and American Idol had it's last season earlier this year. They still have The Voice but she's to young to enter. It's a talent show and (of course) singing is a talent.

She's a singer-songwriter ... So half her talent is songwriting. Most of the shows you mentioned are either no more (American Idol ended) or don't let people sing their own songs.
